2009 Projects

Improvised Cowl
Pattern: Improvised
Yarn: Punta Yarns Merisoft Handpainted
Needle Size:#8 Circular
Completed: December 27, 2009
Modifications/Notes: I tried several different cowl patterns, but it didn’t seem to do the yarn justice, so I ended up casting on 100 stitches on a #8 needle and knitting until I ran out. Sometimes the yarn does the work for you. Purchased this yarn quite a while ago in Asheville and all I knew I wanted to do with it was wear it close to my face as it felt so soft and warm. This fit the bill.

Pattern: Multnomah (Ravelry Link)
Yarn:  Carpool Superwash Wool (Sock Yarn)
Needle: #3 Addis
Completed: October 9, 2009
Modifications/Notes: I loved this yarn, so very, very soft. I had a major yarn snarl and had to cut the yarn. It completely deflated me on this project, so when I made a minor mistake, I just ripped the whole thing out and started again. So very, very glad I did. It’s gorgeous.
