Work-related travel wears me out, particularly when I travel with a co-worker or boss and the days run long. Today’s schedule allowed me about an hour on my own, and I found great peace in not being “on” for those 60 minutes. I may have bought hot tea. I may have visited a local fiber shop. I may have perused a bookstore and come home with an autographed Bobbie Ann Mason book. . . that hour was full.
