Faces

I rose well before he did despite not sleeping well. We couldn’t get the temperature right.

I found a few familiar faces and finally got my footing. Meetings, meetings and more meetings between breakfast and catching up with him for lunch.

Finally, noon approached and I trudged, in heels, for lunch at Buca’s. It was nice to be out and to catch up with him.

The day was finally over and we found ourselves at an Indian restaurant, complete with our own guide, a fellow conference goer who had lived in India for almost four years. Our newfound friend lead us through the menu expertly and it was all I had hoped it would be, as we shared food, laughed and learned. And Kingfisher beer. . . and a nice nighttime walk in downtown Indy. Oh, and somewhere in there we visited Mass Avenue yarn shop and I departed with yet another Ann Budd book and a fewother surprises. . . or soon to be holiday surprises.
