Christmas has left the building. We packed up the ornaments, took down the lights, hauled the barren tree to the curb and it was done. What was left were piles of needles fallen from the tree in our haste to remove the lights. It seems odd without all of the fullness of the decorations, but I welcome the emptiness as we prepare to fill it with the start of a new year.
We spent the afternoon running errands and attending our niece’s birthday party. I furthered my obsession with “The Tudors” and napped a bit.
